High-voltage AC vacuum switch for outdoor installation of the ZW7-40.5 series (hereinafter referred to as the “switch”) is a high-voltage electrical device for outdoor installation of three-phase alternating current with a frequency of 50 (60) Hz, rated voltage 40.5 kV. Equipped with a spring or electromagnetic drive. Remote electrical switching on and off is possible, as well as manual charging of springs, manual switching on and off on site. The design characteristics comply with the requirements of the state standard GB1984-89 “High Voltage AC Switches”, as well as the requirements of the international standard IEC-56 “High Voltage AC Switches”.
The general design of the product is made on porcelain support insulators: a vacuum arc-extinguishing chamber is installed in the upper porcelain insulator, the lower insulator is a supporting one. The switch is suitable for use in places with frequent switching operations. It is characterized by good tightness, resistance to aging, high insulating properties, does not burn, does not explode, has a long service life, and is easy to install and maintain. Mainly designed for control and protection in 35 kV outdoor power transmission and distribution systems, and can also be used for normal switching operations and short-circuit protection in urban and rural distribution networks, as well as in industrial and mining plants.
