The underground complete transformer was developed by our company based on the concept of “green” electric power and optimization of the urban environment, using advanced foreign technologies and integrating the principles of modern urban environmental design, providing for a gradual transition to underground installation of transformers. Underground transformer, also called buried transformer, is a compact transformer equipment in China in which the transformer, high-voltage load switch, fuses and other components are housed in an oil tank, called underground package transformer. It is installed in a pit, does not take up space on the surface of the earth and is able to work submerged for a certain time. This equipment is used in urban distribution networks: in residential complexes, industrial parks, on city highways and other facilities. The use of underground transformers can reduce the footprint of urban distribution equipment and improve the efficiency of urban land use. However, the isolated underground transformer does not solve the problem of low-voltage configuration, which largely hinders its widespread adoption in China.
