SBH amorphous core transformers are fully encapsulated oil-filled transformers. The magnetic core is made of an amorphous alloy consisting of such basic elements as iron, nickel, cobalt, silicon and boron. This material is an isotropic soft magnetic material and is characterized by low magnetizing power, small thickness, low fill factor, high electrical resistivity and high hardness. The no-load losses of transformers with an amorphous magnetic core are approximately two times lower compared to transformers with a silicon steel magnetic core of the same energy efficiency class. They are widely used in electrical (distribution) networks, commercial and residential real estate, as well as in industrial and mining enterprises.
